He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Leo and Vera Ruth Winter (Carey); his wife Ruth Ellen Kirkham; his children, DeVere Winter (Rita Henderson), Pete Winter, Andrew Winter, Ellen Hug (Darrell), Brenda Lloyd (Rex), Angela Morrow, Cheryl Winter, Jana Winter and Jill Penry (Troy Frost); and his sisters, Leola Baker and Bonita Lavin. He was also cherished by 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
