He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lyn Riley; his children, Jackie Garrison of New York City, Lori Brese of Olathe, KS, Kiley Brese of Nortonville, KS, James DeLost Brese, III of Topeka, KS and Greg Brese of Topeka, KS; his siblings, Brenda Patton (Leon) of Oklahoma, Patricia Brese of Oklahoma, Pam Brune of Oklahoma, Tommy Brese (Wilonna) of Kansas City, KS and John Brese of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Justin, Marisa, Cody, Allison, Damian, Caden and Shylyn; and his great grandchildren, Aniyah, Malina and Asiana.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (810 Broadway St, Valley Falls, KS 66088). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
