He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, VanBuren Lockhart and Flossie Costen Lockhart; his wife Shirley J. Heineken; his sons, Melvin Lockhart (Jody) of Valley Falls and Michael Lockhart (Kathryn) of Valley Falls; his grandchildren, Tyler, Peyton, David, Stephanie, Jennifer and Zachary; and his siblings, Willis Lockhart and Hazel Harrier. He was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren.
