Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Phyllis Scarlett of Valley Center, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 91, on March 27, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cowley and Luella Cowley (Robinson); and her siblings, Marjorie Gilliland (Marj) and Ralph Cowley. She is survived by: her husband Richard Loren Scarlett; her granddaughter Melissa Hamilton; and her stepgrandson Kyle Redinger of Park City, KS. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow at the Valley Center Cemetery. ln lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Valley Center or Caring Hands Humane Society of Newton, c/o Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway St., Newton, KS 67714.
