She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl C. Ewertz and Rosalyn Ewertz Messerschmidt (Rausch); her stepfather Gilbert N. Messerschmidt; her brother Charles Ewertz (Charlie); her stepsiblings, Charles Messerschmidt and Jan Messerschmidt; and her brother-in-law Greg Shearer.
She is survived by: her husband William (Bill); and her siblings, Gary "Barney" Ewertz (Kathy), Ken Ewertz (Arlys), Mary Shearer, Karen Price (Eric Schoenecker), Anita Blasi (Dale) and Peggy Arnold (Steve). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
