It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Sue Mai (Utica, Kansas), born in Carthage, Missouri, who passed away on October 16, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph and Emma Lou Hunt Jr. (Kollenburn); her former husband Robert Giess; her sons, Randy and Roger Giess; and her granddaughter Tara Giess.

She is survived by: her husband Raymond Mai of Utica, Kansas; her sons, Mike Giess (Julie) of Hays, Rob Giess of Eudora, KS and Dave Giess (LaVonne) of Hays; her stepdaughters, Delma McCalister (Larry) of Wichita, Dana Fagan (Roger) of Bennington, KS and Debbie Friess (Mort) of Ransom; and her grandchildren, Tyler Giess, Tracer Giess, Cody Giess, Wacy Giess, Ashley Briand and MaKenzie Giess. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
