It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Andrew Allen of Uniontown, Kansas, born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Allen and Mildred Allen (Baugh); his wife Margaret O'Brien; his foster son Melvin Simpson; his siblings, Willie Allen and Betty Garman; and his granddaughter LaCheole Glaze.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dinah Glaze, Iola, Sally Johnson (Frank), Becky Smith (Ben) and Annetta Trammell (Tim); his foster children, Gordon Kreider, Willie Simpson (Debbie) and Joyce Carder (Tom); his sister Bonnie Trowbridge; his siblings-in-law, Denney O'Brien (JoJo) and Velma O'Brien; and his grandchildren, Jamaal Glaze, Trey Glaze, Tayonna Glaze, Nevin Glaze, Andrew Johnson, Allen Johnson, Jerrod Smith, Bo Smith, Tiffany Gee, Amber Sojka, Justin Simpson, Austin Simpson, Brian Simpson, Brandon Simpson and Niki Larrea. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
