It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ray Cauthon of Ulysses, Kansas, born in Pawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Spellman and Irene Spellman (Hart); her husband Auston Cauthon; her grandson Kale; and her sister Charlotte Lindsey.
She is survived by: her children, Jim (Denise Cauthon) of Wakarusa, Patricia (Mike Schmidt) of Dodge City and Wade (Trish Cauthon) of Elizabeth, Colorado; and her siblings, Vic Spellman of Cedar Hill, Steve (Mary Beth Spellman) of Garden City, Kansas, Linda Doherty of Cottonwood and Sue Tuman of Prosper, Texas.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials given to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
