She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bowles and Myrtle Bowles (Pitts); and her husband Jim Swails. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Baldwin (Warren) of Ulysses and Patricia Grigg (Troy) of Hartsville; her sister Joyce Dunkum of King William, Virginia; her grandchildren, Wesley Baldwin (Megan), Dainya Grigg, Jenny Baldwin Tipton (Matt) and Kristin Baldwin Turner (Jacob); and her great grandchildren, Easton Baldwin, William Tipton and Addison Baldwin.
