He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Melius; his grandparents, Lloyd, Delores Melius, Jack and Waunita Holdren; his uncle Bill; his aunts, Shelbie Holdren and Glenda Sangter; and his godfather Larry Coen.
He is survived by: his mother Eva Jo Holdren Melius of Faulkton; his son Dalton Melius of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his siblings, Greg Melius, Dicie Isley (Shannon) of Holly, Michelle Cooper (Michael) of Springfield, Rhonda Lavielle (Jeremy) of Elkhart, Lafonda Myers of Elkhart, Wanda Smith (Travis) of St. Augustine and Keia Myers (Jeremiah Lund); his godmother Mary Lou Coen of Elkhart, Kansas; and his close friend Kay Broyles of Ulysses, Kansas.. He is also survived by ten numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
