She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Swain and Geneiva Swain (Coffey); her former husband Charles Russell; her husband Gene Salem (Gene); her son Darrell Salem; and her siblings, Ann, Thalia, Sherry, Harold, Dennis and Larry.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Salem (Janice) of Ulysses, Cindy Daniel (Tom) of Ford and Deb Shaw of Farmington, Missouri; her brothers, Jerry Swain of Garland, Wayne Swain of Garland and David Swain of California; and her pet Cuddles. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
