He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Martin and Chloe Mary Thompson (Bandy); and his wife Dolly Hill of Peter's Catholic Church. He is survived by: his children, Chris Thompson (Renee) of Salina, Kansas, Carri Torchia of Denver and Cynthia Schultz (Marion) of Ulysses, Kansas. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be given to Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church Scholarship Fund or Parkinson's Foundation in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
