She was predeceased by: her parents, Blas Mendoza and Anita Mendoza; her husband Leon Peña, Sr.; her son Leon Peña, Jr.; her siblings, Bentura (Ben), Frank, Lupe, Charlie Mendoza and Amalia Magdaleno (Molly); her son-in-law Michael Kinsinger; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Mendoza, Sergio Tristan and Armando Davila.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia A. Kinsinger of Ulysses and Henry L. Peña of Ulysses; her siblings, Blas Mendoza of Kearny, Robert Mendoza (Charlene) of Gering, Nebraska, Delia Quintero of Vernon, Elvira Tristan (Vera) of Ft. Collins and Mary Helen Davila of Lubbock, Texas; her grandchildren, Amanda Peña, Alisha Peña, Steven Peña (Rocio) and K'cie Addison (Marlon); and her great grandchildren, Braeden Forester, Braxton Peña and Roselea Addison.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home - Ulysses (405 W Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880). A rosary will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (804 N Colorado St, Ulysses, KS 67880). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Grant County Senior Center or St. Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
