He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Mendoza and Dolores Mendoza (Arrieta); and his wife Soledad. He is survived by: his daughters, Abilia Mendoza of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico, Armida Mendoza of Ulysses, Socorro Lara of Sweet Water and Esperanza Porras of Ulysses, Kansas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
