With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris King (Ulysses, Kansas), born in Panhandle, Texas, who passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris King to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Earl and Audrey Olean Spain (Cox); her husband Claude L. King; her children, Jolynn Wood and James Nolan King (Jim); and her siblings, Betty Lou Garmin, Bob Spain and Ron Spain.

She is survived by: her daughter Jerrie Brooks (Jake) of Scott City; and her sister Connie Andrews (Bill) of Grapevine, Texas. She is also survived by two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Satanta Long Term Care Unit in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
