He was predeceased by: his parents, John Huston and Lucille Recca Lewis (Towler); his wife Joan Schwein; his son-in-law Rusty Carpenter; his grandson Shane; and his siblings, Dick, Mable and Doug.
He is survived by: his children, Teri Higgs (David) of Ulysses, Tim Lewis (Jan) of Ralls and Allison Carpenter of Norman, Oklahoma; and his sister Mrytle Ferris of Santa Barbara, California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
