He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Mangels and Marjorie Mangels (Voge); his siblings, Carl, Eddie, David Mangels, Vikki Mayers and Judy Caldwell; and his grandson Eric Knox.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Mahaffey; his sons, Ronnie Mangels (Nancy) of Ulysses, Don Mangels (Chrissie) of Ulysses and Bob Mangels (Casey Knox) of Ulysses; his brother Lloyd Mangels of Franklin, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Brady, Brett, Tyler, Emily and Jami. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
