He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose L. Garza and Lydia F. Garza (Flores); and his brother Joe Garza. He is survived by: his wife Dora Perez; his children, Peggy Rakes of Yukon, Carlos Garza, Jr. of Johnson, Delma Garza of Amarillo and Naomi Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Victor Garza (Lydia) of Edmond, Richard Garza of Monett, Elias Garza of Liberal, Kansas, Shirley Hernandez of Great Bend and Carolyn Garza of Liberal, Kansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
