It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Higgs of Ulysses, Kansas, born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Carl and Frances "Shanny" Lou Anna Higgs (Coats); his daughter Shelley Dawn Higgs; his siblings, Curtis James Higgs and Janice Mary Tully; and his brother-in-law Harry Wyeno.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Sue Allen; his children, Sherry Annis (Beaty) of Ulysses and Stephen Higgs (Bobbi) of Ulysses; his siblings, David Higgs (Teri) of Ulysses, Darla Lee Wyeno of Olney Springs, Lou Ann Summers (Merle) of Blackwell and Tracie Lamberson (Garry) of Kennewic, Washington; his brother-in-law Mark Tully of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Brynden Annis, Tate Annis (Jessica), Cole Higgs (Makayla), Cayden Higgs (Shirea), Shae Higgs, Steven Leatherman and Dallas Leatherman; and also, Bentley, Easton, Bryndle and Everleigh.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
