He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Helmle and Wilhelmina Helmle (Minnie Mae Molz); his daughter Nancy Helmle Probst; and his brother Charles Helmle. He is survived by: his wife Alberta Phillis; his sons, Curtis (Chairy) and Byron (Lyrae); his sister Marie Redden; his grandchildren, Lyndsi Wilson, Samantha Helmle and Lalia Helmle; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Deleza Braelynn Wilson and Zoey Mae Helmle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas Soldier's Home in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
