With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Candido Ybarra of Ulysses, Kansas, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Candido Ybarra to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Crispin Ybarra and Josefina Ybarra; his daughter Lilia DeLeon; his wife Odelia Ybarra; and his great grandchildren, Ariana DeLeon and Alicia Velasquez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Yolanda Velasquez (Larry) of Ulysses, Kansas, Sylvia Haun (Chuck) of Garfield, Arkansas and Delma DeLeon (Robert) of Garden City, Kansas; his son-in-law Alex DeLeon of Junction City; his brother Juan Ybarra; and his grandchildren, Larry Paul Velasquez, Brooke Velasquez, Allison Medina, Alex DeLeon (Ay Jay), Aaron DeLeon, Corey DeLeon and Davida DeLeon. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home - Ulysses (405 W Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Ministierio Church (1000 W Patterson Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880).
