She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Miessler and Martha Miessler (Reinert); her husband Ralph Githens; her son Craig Githens; and her siblings, Leroy Miessler, Jennette Morrison and Dorthea Williams.

She is survived by: her daughter Cyndi Atkinson (Mark); her stepson Mike Githens (Jennie); and her grandson Cole.

Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt, Kansas.
