He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Gamboa and Maria Gamboa (Martinez); his son Roy Gamboa, Jr.; and his siblings, Ralph "Ticos", Connie, Margo, Mary and Frances "Chickey".
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gamboa (Brady); his children, Lorie Thackeray (Carl), Rebecca Maez, Danny Gamboa (Tina), Chris Gamboa, Wade and Gwendalyn; and his siblings, Danny, Mike and Adeline.
