It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Whitfield Jr. (Turon, Kansas), born in Crestview, Florida, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his mother Jaime Ackerman (Clements) of Pratt; his stepfather Bruce Bennett of Wichita; his father Richard James Whitfield, Sr. of Florida; his grandparents, Pat and Lynne Clements of Byers; his girlfriend Emily Lazo of Byers; his siblings, Tyler Bennett of Wichita, Zackary Bennett of Niangua, Ariana, Ashlynn Ackerman of Pratt, Aaron Lazo of Derby, Walker Hendriks and Madelynn Dietzen (Tyler) of Neenah, Wisconsin; and his uncles, Christopher Clements (Keli) of Niangua and Nicholas Clements of St. Paul, Minnesota. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
