He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Simmons and Cecil Simmons (Gibson); his siblings, Earl, Bob, Donnie, David Simmons, Pauline Russell, Mary Liechti, Julia Ross and Louella Golden; and his grandson Jay Michael Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lee Garren; and his son Bill Simmons (Pam). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
