He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Wesley and Gladys Irene Bonner Preston; and his siblings, Roy Preston, Glenda Rudisill and Rochelle Moreland.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Preston of Tribune; his children, Dee Anna (Brad Schneider), Synthia Preston of Garden City, Sabra (David Dickey), Pamela (Brian Schneider) and Gene Preston II of Tribune; and his siblings, Joyce Waldron of Brandon, Patty Leary of Topeka, Jerry Preston of Topeka and Paul Preston of Alma. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
