He is survived by: his wife Linda Schmidt (Carson); his children, Shelly Shepherd (Dan) of Andover, KS, Brandi Sawyer (Kevin) of Towanda, KS and Mike Schmidt of Towanda, KS; his siblings, Phyllis Samuels of El Dorado, KS, Marvin Schmidt (Kaye) of Augusta, KS and Lois Barker (Lynn) of Tuscon, AZ; his grandchildren, Nick Watkins (Jennie) of Towanda, KS, Nicole Guffey (Jess) of Naples, FL, Brooke Blake (Rick) of Andover, KS, Blake Watkins of Towanda, KS, Remington, Toby Schmidt of Towanda, KS and Jolie Sawyer of Towanda, KS; his great grandchildren, Mathias, Mace, Mia Watkins, Finnlee Guffey and Brinley Blake; and his brothers-in-law, Mike and Tommy Carson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
