He was predeceased by: his parents, Lagustus Mattingly and Eunice Mattingly (Coatney); his siblings, John Frank Mattingly and Opal Mosby; his brother-in-law Sherrell Mosby; his sister Mary Lou Brewer; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Mattingly and Dorothy Mattingly.
He is survived by: his children, Kristin Mattingly of Topeka and Aaron Mattingly (Rijka) of Topeka; his grandchildren, Alyssa McWillliams (Xavier), Davon Cushinberry (Kourtnie Feliciano), Amya Mattingly and Jayden Prato; his great grandchildren, Giana'Fe Mattingly, Malaki McWilliams, Adrianna McWilliams, Adin Lee Cushinberry, Mason Fredrick-Munsell, Amir (Amya) and Bill; and his brothers, Leroy Mattingly, James Mattingly and Ron Mattingly.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boulevard Billiards (4700 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66609).
