He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldemar Metzenthin, and Edna Metzenthin, Sr. (Horst); his wife Lois Anna Diepenbrock; and his children, David Metzenthin, Joanne and Jeanne.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Sandquist (Art); his grandchildren, Adriene Williams, Mariel Johnson (Ross), Peter and Patrick Sandquist; and his great grandchildren, Campbell Williams, Marlo and Jovi Johnson.
