He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Dewey and Eva Mae Scarbrough Bass; his spouse Betty Abbey; his children, John Bass, Debbie Espinoza of Topeka and Tammie Espinoza of Topeka; his brother J. R. Bass; his son-in-law Danny Miller of Topeka; and his children, Terrie Miller and Ronald Bass. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
