With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thelma E. Ward of Topeka, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Barnes and Audrey Barnes (Kelley); her husband Gary L. Ward; and her siblings, Lawrence, Florence Barnes, Robert R. Barnes, Lester E. Barnes, Albert E. Barnes and LaVerne Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Larry D. Watkins, Linda D. Mulvihill and Bonnie A. Wyatt (Clint); her grandchildren, Zachary Wichman (Lynne Chen), Kelli Wichman and Shawn Watkins; and her great grandchild Jayla Benton.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel (3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610).
