In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Susan had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Susan may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schicker and Norma Schicker. She is survived by: her husband Richard F. Wurtz; her children, Richard (Sarah), Joseph (Megan), Thomas (Kate), Kristen and Theresa (Mark); and her siblings, Lynne Marales and Pete Kavula. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5973 SW 25th St, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:30 PM at 32323 Cemetery Rd, Paxico, KS 66526.
