It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Atherton of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Pauline Cales; her brother Jerald Cales; her daughter Lisa Atherton Jones; and her granddaughter Tara Jones Hansen. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Britt (Bill) and Karen Clemens (Tracy); her husband Gale Atherton; her grandchildren, Natasha (Austin), Micheal (Jaimie), Michela (Mark), Brad, Kyle, Bradley, Shelby and Tiffany; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Ariana, Lawson, Brantley, Emberly, Jordi, Berklee, Heather (Brett), Harlee and Lane; her siblings, Glenda Brown Chelton, Barbara Cales Leffew, Sharon Cales Flower, Warren Cales and Leroy Cales; and also Brayleigh.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Highland Park (820 SE 29th St, Topeka, KS 66605). Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
