He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Ann Schultz Short and Richard Short (Sally); his son Lucas Christopher Short; his wife Janice; his daughter Melissa Enright (Rich); his siblings, Kevin Short (Sandy), Lori "Guss" Short of Topeka and Lisa Zeller (Dan); his sister-in-law Jacque Henne (Lowell) of Paxico; his stepbrother Rick Vorhies (Lori); and his brother Jeff Short.
