Scott Parrett Obituary

"Scotty" by his friends and family passed away peacefully at Midland Hospice house on June 22, 21.

He was born 5/30/40 to Scott and Vera (Morgan) Parrett (both preceded him in death).

He had one brother Carroll Richard Parrett, he passed away 2016.

He married Carol Phillips on 8/19/1960. She passed away in 2016.

They had 3 children: Patricia Cox (Brian), David Scott Parrett, and Michael Parrett. Michael also passed away in 2016. The year 2016 was an extremely rough year.

They have 5 grandchildren: Michael Scott Cox, Kyle Morgan Cox (Tierra), Bobbi Jo Calderwood, Brynn Parrett and Brooke Parrett.

He was looking forward to the arrival of his first great-granddaughter due in July.

He graduated from Highland Park High School class of 1958.

He served in the Army for six years and was honorably discharged in 1965.

Scott attended Vo-Tech for Auto Mechanics and graduated top in his class.

Scott remained best friends with his childhood friend David Reynolds now of Ok City, OK.

Scotty had a gift with cars.
He and Dave were partners on a dragster they built and raced for many years at Lawrence Raceway.

He was a caring and loving husband, father and grandpa. A truly great man, that was well liked and didn't know a stranger.
Scotty will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 17, 21. 2-4pm at Central Park Christian Church located at 1535 SW Clay in Topeka.
