He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lein and Elisabeth Lein (Martin); and his nephew Andy Lein. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Lein; and his brothers, Doug Lein (Linda), Tony Lein (Maria) and Eric Lein (Robin).
