He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonso Gomez and Luz Gomez (Sanchez); and his daughter Catherine Gomez. He is survived by: his children, Adrian Gomez, Bernadine Gomez and Alexandra Simecka (Rodney); his grandchildren, Cheryl Garcia (Rene), Grace Gomez, Isabelle Gomez, Ellie Gomez and Ari Simecka; his great grandchild Oliver Rene Garcia; and his siblings, Ernestine Sandate, Rachel Griego, Mary, Ralph Gomez (Carmen) and William "Bill" Gomez (Martha).
