He was predeceased by: his parents, Claretha Verser and Robert Verser Sr.; and his siblings, Alvin Walker, Albert Verser Sr., Robert Verser Jr., Curtise Goodwin, Barbara Verser Barker and Glenda Verser Hinton.

He is survived by: his children, Darion Lee Verser (Sharisse) of Topeka and Michelle M. Clark (Eric) of Kansas City, Missouri; and his siblings, Ivory Verser, David Verser, Tom Verser, Joyce Verser, Darlene Verser Harris and Sheila Verser. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
