It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Wilkerson (Topeka, Kansas), born in Hoisington, Kansas, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melinda Joan Sutton and James Lee Wilkerson; his siblings, Gary "Mikey" Collins of San Antonio, TX, Frank Sutton of Eldorado, KS, Roland Broadnax of Topeka, KS, Debra Sutton of South Carolina, Melody Sutton of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Sutton of Topeka and Gwen Harper of Topeka, KS.; his wife Bobbi Jean Baker; and his children, Tyrone L. Baker of Lansing, Robert L. Hunter (Rebecca) of Hutchinson, Mauiro E. Wilkerson of Topeka, Xa Lee (Vinai) of Portland, OR, Elnonia E. Branch of Fort Worth, TX, Leslie Y. Baker (Clarence) of Topeka, KS and Ageonia M. Wilkerson (Jarad) of Topeka, KS.. He was also cherished by wife and children, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his siblings.

“Bobby, my friend of 50 years, my team mate on the Ebony All Stars now has joined other team mates on a heavenly team: Johnny Joe Nunley, Fred Dumas, Big Cat Ernie Wilson, Pete Fisher, Larry Wynne, Richard Martin, Butch and Bump Brown, and Ernie Bryant. Bobby was my co-worker, an excellent and dedicated employee. We had a lot of time together and a lot of fun over the years.
