He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Donald Prue and Viola Rita Prue; and his siblings, Carolyn Gray, Donald Prue, David Prue and Michael Prue.
He is survived by: his son Richard Thomas Prue (Teresa); his wife Catherine Mary Hurla; his sister Kathy Hurla (Myron); his grandchildren, Richard, Michael (Anna) and Jennifer; and his great grandchildren, Edson, Maddelynn, Lennox, Elliot and Michael A. Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (22298 Newbury Rd, Paxico, KS 66526).
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newberry or St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Topeka, in care of the funeral home.
