He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Gilman and Frances Vollrath Gilman; his wife Elizabeth; his daughter Jeanine Roberts (Tom); his grandchildren, Kerianne Johnson (David), John, Christian, Topeka, Josiah and Flemington; his stepson Bill McLeod; his stepgranddaughter Shayla Beard (Ricky); his stepgreat-granddaughters, Morgan and Reagon; and his son John.
Phil's body was donated to KU Med Center for Alzheimer Research.
