Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Muriel Ann Maness of Topeka, Kansas, born in Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 93, on October 31, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hunter (Marie Hunter) and Marie Hunter; her sisters, Atha Jones, Wilma Maness, Lila Maloney, Shirley Johnson and Barbara Brecheisen; and her close friend Maury Wustefeld.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patty Anderson (late Larry) and Donna Linton (Marc); and her grandchildren, Kristi Myer (Leland), Tiffany Gomel (John), Andrew Linton (Emily) and Dean Linton (Ashley Puderbaugh). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Muriel to the Lecompton Methodist Church or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
