He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Hermanson and Wilma J. Hermanson (Calderwood); his brother Marvin Hermanson; and his nephew Gregory Votaw. He is survived by: his son Christopher "Chris" M. Hermanson (Sage) of Topeka; his granddaughters, Juliana and Olivia; and his siblings, Linda Votaw of Topeka, Sandy Garrett (Mike) of Florida, James Hermanson, Jr. (Helen "Libby") of Topeka and Deborah Heaney (James) of Topeka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lake Shawnee Shelter House No. (3521 SE East Edge Rd, Topeka, KS 66605).
