He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Degand, and Virginia Degand, Sr. (Beard); his wife Gracie Busey; and his brother George Degand. He is survived by: his children, Michael J. Degand III of Topeka and Michelle Degand Lopez of Topeka; his grandchildren, Sidney Michelle Lopez and Mikey Degand; and his brothers, Phil Degand and Bert Degand (Viola). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
