She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Oberst and Lucille Oberst (Degan); her husband Bernard Kaeberle; and her sister Joanna. She is survived by: her daughter Jean "Jeanie" Kaeberle of Roeland Park. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church (3601 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604). The inurnment was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Little Sisters of the Poor in Marlene's memory.
