It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marjory Holmer of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 89, on December 24, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orlin Kenneth and E. Lucille Atherly (Woods); and her siblings, Kenneth, Glen, Duane Atherly, Colleen Eccles, Louise Atherly and Joan Atherly.
She is survived by: her husband Dick; her sons, Brad Holmer (Teresa) of Silver Lake, KS and Shawn Holmer (Michelle); her daughter-in-law Marsha Holmer; her grandchildren, Summer Holmer, Jenni Pierce, Derek Holmer, Taylor Holmer, Jared Holmer, Amy Howley and Travis Haukenberry; and her brother Don Atherly of Burlington, KS. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (3509 SW Burlingame Rd, Topeka, KS 66611). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (1252 10th Rd, Burlington, KS 66839).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of the church or Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
