It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcella Gladys Nightengale of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ideker and Minnie Ideker (Vietz); her spouse Ewald Nightengale (E. J.); her son Jay Dillin Nightengale; her daughter-in-law Roxy Nightengale; and her grandsons, Brian and Zachary Nightengale.
She is survived by: her children, Laurin Nightengale of Topeka, Kansas, Arlin Nightengale (Sharon Kamphaus) of Topeka, Kansas, Carol Crawford (Mike) of Lincoln and Bonnie Rasmussen (Galen) of Camas, Washington.. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Carbondale Community United Church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel (1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michaels Cemetery (16841 C Rd, Jetmore, KS 67854).
