He is survived by: his parents, Charles Schmidt and Alice Schreiber Schmidt; his wife Rose; his children, Linda Marie Pfeifer, Monica Schmidt, Charlie Schmidt (Pam) and Joe Schmidt (Sue); his sister Virginia Limke; and his stepbrothers, Bill Treu and Art Treu. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
