She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Bender and Vida Bender; her husband Theron Gassen; and her brother Willis LaVerne Bender. She is survived by: her children, Karen Frost of Topeka, Steven Gassen (Chris) of Topeka and Anita Frese (Steven) of Lansing, Michigan; and her sister Vida K. "Kathy" Michaels (Albert). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
