She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rolland Sherman and Martha Sherman (Rees); her husband David John Gabriel III; her children, David Jeffrey Gabriel (Jane) of Bishop, California and Marlene Denise Muellner (Scot) of Olathe, KS; and her sisters, Barbara Lee Rieger of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Sue Meisinger of Gardner, KS and Susan Kay Tarwater of Hoyt, KS. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren.
